Best location in Naples - safe and clean, 5 minutes walk to the city center and the harbor! Excellent rooms, big and clean with all the necessary facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money!
Small shower cabin
Nice small hotel in a very convienient location. Very clean and tidy with helpful staff.
Non of the rooms have a sea view, so little point paying extra for a sea view that you need to hang out of the window to sea!!
It was in a safe neighborhood, great access to walk the road along the sea, it was very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice.
Bathroom was small, but typical of Italy.
i like the location the price is very good and the staff is friendly
the breakfast is very poor
Breakfast - so little variety, however it was good!
Because of Naples reputation as not being one of the safest cities to visit, location was important for us. Rex Hotel is a 3 star hotel in a 4 star location, Santa Lucia. We felt very safe in this area and were still walking distance to the city sights. The 4 lane road that runs alongside the harbour edge has been closed to traffic and it has not become an area for walkers, runners, families, bikes, giving it a nice holiday feel. Excellent value for money. Front desk staff were very helpful and spoke good english.
Only downside is one night the cafe on the corner setup a dj outside with speakers - they were not very considerate neighbours to the many hotels in this area.
Privileged localization. NEarby hotels are extremely expensive comparing to this one. 500 m from castel.del'ovo and all the naples bay
The breakfast is weak when analyzing the quality of the hotel. Some fruit and less cakes/sweets should be introduced
location, near by the city,
very poor room-doors.
The view and the location are outstanding! Its next to a public beach (which is open until 19:00) to the left of the hotel where there is a fantastic restaurant... Don't miss that! The restaurant is down the beach next to the water. The food is like gourmet style with a very reasonable price and the staff is friendly and very attentive! no doubt the best restaurant we went! If you ask the hotel desk for a local pizzaria they will probably send you to a pizzaria to left of the hotel which is nearer but if you don't mind walking an extra 300 metres there is an italian cantina to right of the hotel where you can eat one of the best pizza I have had in my life! great food and service... 300 metres extra come cheap!
Well for a 5 stars hotel this hotel leaves quite a few gaps to fill! Extremely expensive restaurant, a very poor decor, friendly staff but not very flexible or knowledgeable. We stayed for a weekend at the end of April when the sun is still shinning until 19:45... The temperatures were as high as 26c so you would expect to able to stay in the swimming pool until then but we were told that it was still low season and the swimming pool even with the beautiful weather would close at 17:00 anyways... in result we didn't use the hotel swimming pool or beach (which also close at 17:00) at any day. The air conditioning was not working either and the excuse was the same that as it was still low season they could not switch it on, that might have been the case however that was not stated when we booked the hotel. In a 5 star hotel there should be some flexibility with rules and staff! So would I stay there again? I didn't feel like using its pemises enough to be able to tell!
It is located in a nice neighborhood just on the seaside with a superb view over the mountain Vesuvius. The rooms were nice and clean, the stuff friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is too meager - just coffee and croissants / cakes / corn flakes. It was also very noisy in the room - we could hear the neighbors above/beside us. Besides, the hotel maids started to clean rooms after 9 am and were doing it loudly.
Location was good. Interior quite stylish..liked the many paintings of Old Napoli for example. Reception staff very courteous and helpful. Nice large bright room.
Minor criticisms but nevertheless resolution would make a big difference - lighting in bathroom very poor - only light above wash-hand basin. Bed - 2 single beds pushed together had tendency to separate very easily!. Breakfast - more than 1 fruit juice offered would be better and it was only on my 3rd morning that Staff asked if I wanted Cappuccino E.G. Refuse Lorries collecting directly outside at 5am very noisy.
Good quality/ price. Good location, easy to find. Only sweet breakfast but adequate and fresh. No elevator, but helpful stuff offered to carry heavy luggage. Beautiful old-napoli style decoration. Renovated. Free Wi-Fi worked also in the bedroom. Will come back for next business trip or vacation.
Private parking nearby costed 23 euro, quite expensive I guess...
The location of the hotel was great , near the port and the tram line for day trips as well as being in a lovely area of Napoli.
The staff were not very welcoming on arrival nor friendly during our entire stay. The pillows were quite uncomfortable. The breakfast had a very limited range - all of it sweet and it was fresh only on one day of our stay. Not the fault of the hotel but Napoli is a filthy city and the taxi drivers will rip you off in a heartbeat
Location: Near city center, and just 1 minute from coast.
Toillet emerged a constant sewage odor. Parking too expensive.
